As well as founding an analytics and targeted client acquisition business, Byron has supported the capacity acquisition, product development, and growth strategies of a number of market leading MGAs. Byron’s commitment in the co-founding of Ignite is driven by a strong appetite to further develop the harmonisation of Insurance and Commercial Litigation.

David has worked in the Legal Expenses market for over 20 years and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has notable experience at a number of BTE and ATE insurance companies as well as most recently holding a senior management position at a leading reinsurer. David’s experience covers a wide breadth of ATE products, having insured high volume, low value claims, right through to multi–million international arbitrations. David drives Ignite’s ATE proposition forward and solidifies Ignite’s industry presence as the go-to market for ATE.

Jamie has worked in the ATE market for the past 18 years and is a Chambers and Partners ranked individual.  His experience includes underwriting and managing a significant volume of High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) disputes, as well as supporting a number of successful appeals to both the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Most recently, Jamie supported the leading authority on the use of single claim forms for group actions (Morris & Ors v. Williams & Co (Solicitors) [2024] EWCA Civ 376) and also one of the claimants in the leading  BII Test Litigation (Why Not Bar and Lounge Limited v West Bay Insurance plc & QIC Europe Limited [2024] EWCA Civ 1026). Jamie also sits as a member of the consultation group on the Civil Justice Council review of litigation funding.

Matthew Evans serves as Litigation Portfolio Manager at Ignite, bringing over 15 years of distinguished legal experience. A qualified solicitor, he is recognised by Legal 500 as an ‘outstanding litigator’ with ‘inventive legal thinking’, Matthew has established himself as an authority in commercial and financial disputes. Prior to joining Ignite, he spent nine years at RPC (Senior Associate and Of Counsel), following six years in Latham & Watkins’ litigation department. In his role at Ignite, Matthew oversees the company’s diverse litigation portfolio, managing cases from inception to trial across corporate disputes, group claims, and catastrophe claims in the High Court. His expertise in complex litigation and hands-on approach strengthens Ignite’s commitment to excellence in litigation risk insurance.

Angus Eames is a Technical Underwriter at Ignite, responsible for assessing and underwriting new applications across the company’s full range of litigation insurance products. A qualified solicitor since 2016, Angus brings extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution. He previously served as in-house Counsel at ClientEarth, where he led strategic litigation and advised on legal risk and advocacy. Prior to that, he was an Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration team at DLA Piper handling complex commercial disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

Mike has more than 40 years insurance experience including the last 22 years in senior positions in the legal expenses insurance sector. He has been actively involved with Legal Protection International – the global association for legal protection insurers. Mike believes in access to justice for all and the vital role that legal expenses insurance plays in serving such justice. Mike is a Chartered Insurer and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Kyle oversees new business opportunities and manages key client accounts for Ignite’s insurance scheme business. With 20+ years in the legal and insurance sector, Kyle has worked for some of the most respected and recognised firms within the litigation sector. His most recent role was Director of Business Development at Blume (part of the Fletchers Group). Kyle also has extensive experience providing LEI insurance products to the legal sector via his senior management role at Financial and Legal Insurance. Kyle’s record of delivering significant growth greatly enhances Ignite’s operational efficiencies and capacity to serve clients effectively.

Duval is an Underwriting Assistant working across Ignite’s commercial and consumer business lines. Prior to joining Ignite, Duval worked as a paralegal for a national defendant law firm, assisting with a case load of high-value, complex injury claims role which involved managing litigation, GDPR issues, document filing, legal research and liaising with various stakeholders.

Duval graduated with a 2.1 in Law from De Montfort University.

Angela Panuccio provides strategic communications services to Ignite through her role at Mission Underwriters. Leveraging her in-house management and agency background to develop effective content and PR strategies, Angela brings over twenty years of B2B communications experience to this role.

Megan Simpson is Senior Marketing Executive with over five years of experience in insurance marketing, specialising in event planning and management. She leads the coordination and execution of key industry events for Ignite through her role at Mission Underwriters while playing a key role in shaping brand strategy and ensuring the seamless delivery of marketing and content collateral.

As Client Relationship Director at Ignite, Tim serves as the primary liaison between the company and Mission Underwriter’s supporting functions, including the digital team, vendors, finance, compliance, marketing, human capital and the client services team. Tim brings 20 years of insurance industry expertise to this role, as well as 5 years as a consultant.

As Client Relationship Manager at Ignite, Myles serves as a liaison between the company and Mission Underwriter’s supporting functions, including the digital team, vendors, finance, compliance, marketing, human capital and the client services team. Myles brings 15 years of insurance industry expertise to this role.

Patrice is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, serving as Client Services & Delivery Manager for Ignite. In her role, she leads both onshore and offshore teams, providing comprehensive operational support across all Mission Series. Patrice oversees the delivery of a wide range of services, including policy administration, credit control, delegated authority, and broker/agency management. Patrice’s deep knowledge of the insurance sector enables her to recruit and develop highly skilled team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services with exceptional turnaround times.
